Michele and David's Family Wedding Shower

Our family in Kentucky threw a wedding shower for David and Michele in Princeton a couple weeks ago. The boys were so tired and took a good nap on the way there...they looked so sweet I had to take a picture! We had a fun time visiting with family and celebrating their upcoming marriage. They were so sweet, and brave, that they even let the boys each help open two presents...Corey and I were holding our breaths...thankfully the one Bennett picked up and sat back down not so gently was flatware and not the crystal glasses we got them!

Go Vols!

A few weeks ago Corey and I had the fun privilege of going with David John and Gini, our music minister and his wife, to the UT vs. Ohio game. Each year they have invited us to a game and we have so much fun together! We are so grateful for their generosity and thoughtfulness! We are truly blessed to have them as friends, but also to be able to serve with them in ministry at Maplewood! Usually when we are out of town, my parents or Michele are able to keep the boys, but everyone was tied up! So I want to give a special blogging thank you to our sweet friends, the Cooks, who kept the boys for us so that we could enjoy this fun weekend!

Mrs. Brooke

We have been so blessed this year to have Mrs. Brooke as Caleb's kindergarten teacher! She is very patient with the children and so kind...she has even come to see him play soccer twice this year, which makes him feel very special! Thank you so much, Mrs. Brooke for being a wonderful teacher and caring so much about your students!

Geocaching

After Run, Preacher, Run, we went with our friends, the Shackelfords, to go geocaching. We had never heard of it until they introduced us, but it is so much fun! You go online to a website, choose a city or area where you are, and it gives you coordinates to locate something that is hidden. Then you enter those coordinates on your GPS and it leads you to hunt for a "treasure"! This was right up the boys' alley! It really was lots of fun, and we look forward to our next geocaching adventure!

Run, Preacher, Run!

Friday morning on September 25, Corey along with several other pastors in our area ran across our county to raise money for our local crisis pregnancy center, Tomorrow's Hope. They each ran 3 1/2 miles and passed the baton, in this case a baby bottle, to the next minister. Fred started out the run at 7 am... we were there to see him start, and Corey began the second leg around 7:30...if you know us, this is early for the Cain family! However, Team Cain came out in full force, check out the boys' shirts in the pictures below! The last running preacher finished at Paris Landing State Park at around 12:30 pm. In all the guys worked together and raised over $7,500 for this incredible ministry! One of the things I love about being here in Paris is that there is such a spirit of cooperation between our churches...together we can accomplish more for His glory!

I'm back!

I am so far behind on my blogging (as my wonderful sister reminded me ;) ...things have just been incredibly busy. I'm going to try to play catch up over the next week. So get ready for a blogging blitz on the Twelve Stones Blog!

Just to make you smile...

So cute I had to blog...today I was pulling the sheets off our beds and told Bennett that I was going to wash them. He asked me if I wanted him to "throw them in the wash 'em machine." Hehe...so sweet!
