Honorary Bat Boy!

Saturday night, we were invited to help celebrate Caleb and Bennett's friend Jonathan's eighth birthday at a Diamond Jaxx game! It was such a fun night, and as a part of his party, the Diamond Jaxx tried to work all the children with our group in to play a game on the field or do something special. Caleb was chosen to be the honorary bat boy!!! It was so cool! He was out on the field for about 30 minutes before the game. He gave the umpire the line-up and then just hung out with some of the players by the dugout. If you know Caleb, he isn't intimidated by many situations. He just chatted with one of the pitchers for 5-10 minutes. The guy was squatting down so Caleb just squatted beside him and made small talk. "So, do you play baseball?" The guy (whose name I-a Foropoulos-can't pronounce) was really nice and even took him in the dugout and introduced him to some of the other players. After a while it was time to line up for the National Anthem and afterward, Caleb walked to the microphone and announced, "PLAY BALL!" It was an exciting night!
